The Songsmith software from Microsoft is turning out to be just a never ending source of good times (my earlier post on it). The gist is that the software will write music around whatever vocal you provide sort of like some freakish reverse karaoke. Anyway, somebody got the good idea to pump the vocal tracks from some classic songs through it and see what comes out. TechCrunch and the New York Times have already provided coverage, but I just can’t help myself.
