Garfield is one of those comics that hasn’t been funny since the 80′s and still, inexplicably, runs every week in the Sunday paper (you suck too, Family Circus). Garfield Minus Garfield has isolated the problem with the Garfield strip: Garfield. Subtract the cat and you’ve got an amazing comic about a desperately lonely middle-aged man who is slowly losing his mind. This stuff is comic gold.
